How well does CAD/CNC Millwork hold up?

Hi guys.
Sorry if this question has been asked before and I know it’s a Noob question- but I just scored an awesome CAD Inkosi and it’s almost too nice looking for me to use. I’m not much of a collector as I like to carry and use whatever I buy- but man I’m going to cry with the first few scratches!
So I was wondering what kind of magic CRK can work on these designs with a spa treatment? Can they make them look like new again?
This may dictate its future as I don’t want to use the heck out of it and it can’t be returned to its original beauty. I also have a 21 Tanked but it’s being saved for my son and was already a lite user.

thanks guys!

Since that is actual engraving, it shouldn't wear off at all. The color and/or patterns made with custom anodization (CCG) can wear away over time when used, this was confirmed with CRK.

Man, that would look so much better with wear marks o_O, don’t know what they can do with it. They do the magic on a case by case basis.
I’d probably call them to see if it could be worked to look new.
Don’t let a few personality marks stop you from using that seductive knife. It is gorgeous!!!

I don’t really have an answer for you but man is that thing good looking
Thanks!
The graphic work is amazing.

I guess I’m more worried about the shiny part not being able to get worked back to normal. The engraving is pretty deep... maybe I’m overthinking this

The problem is, my knives, watches and gear can really be put through the ringer. I’d hate to see this one get beat up.
Again, I’m probably just overthinking it o_O

I struggled over this with my Unique Graphic and ultimately decided that using it was the way for me. That first bad scratch is going to be painful for sure, but I think over time the patina it develops will be something special. Check out the "Well Worn/Weathered CRK" thread.

I have carried CGG and UG sebenzas for years. The designs wear like iron. Even if the polished surface marks up, the design still looks beautiful. They can spa some, but depends on the Graphic or design.

The engraved designs hold up to use, not their color unless it's inside the engraving. I believe one is SOL if you want it reanodized.

I have a large and small CGG rhino. I reached out to CRK to ask about what would happen if their color disappeared. I was told that particular design could be reanodized, so it's probably a case by case deal.

I was apprehensive to carry my CGG and even carried the slip when I first got it. But I felt that I was doing it a disservice. So I ended up just sticking it in my pocket and carry it everyday. It’s not as patina’d as others, but I’m totally happy with how it is aging.

That is a beautiful knife! I don’t know that I could use that knife myself. Very nice knife.
