Easy, I have the carbon fiber Mouse from Blade Tech and Spyderco Mouse.
I'd say you would be pleased either way. Blade rotation was a bit stiff at first with the Blade Tech, but a lot of knives come that way until break them in and/or clean and relube. The Spyderco has been discontinued for years, so hard to say how much break in it got before I got my paws on it.
Fit and finish seemed good to me for the Blade-Tech, but it was carbon fiber not G-10. Still a production knife though so although I find nothing wrong with it, a real picky person may find some minute detail to fret over.
Heat treat? Unless you have some sort of weird edge failure, I don't know how to test heat treat. Mine seemed fine, but it hasn't cut much if anything.
Overall the Blade-Tech is a good buy IMO, and lets you get a good design for a decent price.
Prefer the BladeTech Mouse II in G10, S30V. The G-10 is grippy and the steel holds an edge. I use it as an EDC in urban area with STR low-rider clip. A great little cutter.
