How well does it work on flexible fillet or boning knives? im thinking about the pro pack 1. any experiences? Thanks.

Hi,
I've no experience with the WEPS, but a fillet knife is just another knife, more flexible sure, but that shouldn't present a problem :) just limits the amount of force you can use

The WEPS guy talks about it in Wicked Edge - Richmond Artifex Sujihiki - Clay Allison

The trick he says is to do it in two sections (reclamp) and overlap the strokes,

which is basically what you would do with a stone in hand like this

High efficiency sharpening with minimal equipment - well worn Henckels Chef's, Rapala fillet knives - Cliff Stamp

A filet knife can be done like any other knife but you have to be careful not to put too much pressure on the paddles.

I think you might have seen this but just in case.... https://www.wickededgeusa.com/we100pr1-knife-sharpener-instructions/
The fourth picture shows how a filet knife is clamped.

The support rod will help to keep the blade from flexing as you paddle the edge. Remember that you don’t need to use a lot of pressure with the diamond paddles or strops.

It works fine but it is the only knife I've ever used the stabilizing rod with... You can always support it with your other hand too.
