What's the story behing your name?

Pendentive - "A triangular section of vaulting between the rim of a dome and each adjacent pair of the arches that support it."
 
It's been a while since I got that question...

That's the name of my "at-home" business. I am an architect by trade, but do web design and graphic design on the side - plus a little tinkering with knifemaking.

I love pendentives - they're the perfect solution to an intriguing problem = how to put a dome on top of a square room below it. Both the square and the circle are perfect forms and the result is beautiful when constructed properly.
