How will you sharpen the AK? If it ever needs it that is.

Just curious about this grind. I'm guessing you would strope it? It looks like it would be a little difficult or atleast harder to learn than a regular knife.

You would use a charges strop, but move the strop rather than the blade. Does that make sense?

if you have a hand american sharpening kit, or somethign like it, you can sharpen it like that. basically a table top strop.

i would advize taping your sword before going that though, so as not to remove the coating.

me, i'll be doing it on an edgepro apex model

rediculus you say? - i've sharpened a 2lb 18" ang khola on it, and have been very tempted to do my 6lb 30" ang khola as well. the only reason i dont, is because the thing is forged so rediculously thin at the edge, that with a good cutting bevel - it would be far, far, far to dangerous to ever use.
