I haven't found any online. Do I really have to buy a right handed black version and switch the blades myself?

See if a buddy will go in with you and buy a righty with a black blade and just swap the blades. That seems to be the easiest way I see. Or find someone on here who has a new black blade who really wants a satin.

Would that even work? On a left hand model, is the blade tang ramp cut in the opposite direction as a right hand model? (Given that the locking liner is on the opposite side...?)

Ahhhhh. I forgot about that! It would have to be for the lock (on the right) to engage.

Because they do not exist. You cannot switch blades because the lock ramp on teh tang would be facing teh wrong side. Get yourself a Pacific Salt.

You'd have to find someone to coat the blade for you. Might want to contact the gent responsible for this thread over on the Spyderco Factory Forum.
