How would you add Jimping

I recently acquired a ZT 770 CF and I like it a lot. One small thing that has had a more significant impact than I originally thought it would is that the flipper tab on the CF has jimping on it. I have 2 of the aluminum handled versions and their flipper tabs are smooth--I would very much like to add jimping to their flipper tabs. I called ZT to see if they would do it for me, and their answer was NO. I have been thinking about purchasing a jewelers saw and just freehanding it to the best of my ability. I'd appreciate any advice-ideas.

Get a small file set at Home Depot, etc...cost around 8 bucks for a basic set of files...and do it yourself. It is fairly easy. I put my knife in my vise between two pieces of cork to hold it without damaging it. I got the cork at Home Depot too. It is samples from their flooring dept. I grabbed a bunch of different samples, including some carpet samples and find they work great to hold a piece in vise jaws.
Here is a pic of my 566 with jimping I added to the flipper and file work I did on the steel side.

Thanks for the reply Kai Winters, the cork is a great idea also. I will try that out.
