How would you attach this handle

This is a fairly large knife 8.5" blade or so and the steel will be 1/8"

I have never liked attaching these triangular blade handles. There isn't much to work with in the way of a tang. The traditional way is to run the handle all the way through, add a washer and peen it.

Any other ideas?

what materials are the handle and spacer? you could woller out the inside of the larger piece a little and make notches in the tang and glue it all together for a hidden 3/4 tang using 2 ton epoxy. or you could make it like a Blade Sword :D and thread the end of the tang and screw an end cap onto it.

A rivited or threaded tang will always work.A ferrule and stub tang is a good second choice.

Silver braize a short piece of all thread to the tang make a butt cap the same as the ferule silver braize a nut on the inside screw the whole thing together with your favorite epoxy .

I'm with TJ Peter, but you don't have to put a but-cap on, you can leave it as a hidden tang, just use the silver brazed extention to beef it up if you want. Though with a screwed on but cap it will be stronger.

OR, use linear pins and 'glas the whole handle. You could use long 1/8" pins and curve them to run the length of the whole handle, or part of it. I used to run linear pins through different sections of handle material on stacked handles and then 'glas the whole thing together. Because of the strength of the 'glas, you finally realize the pins linear pins are not really necessary on a full tang handle. I guess that's part of the learning curve when being self taught, huh?
