Hypothetical story. Kershaw calls you. Asks what you would do to the Skyline that won't drive the price up too much, but will still be worth building new ones.
What do you upgrade it with?

For me.

KVT ball bearings.
&
New 4-way deep pocket carry clip.
&
A stop bar, or whatever it's called...get rid of the blade stops/thumb studs.
&
Jimping on the top of the blade in the usual spot.

The only upgrade I will make to the best budget knife ever is the pocket clip how can we come up with a low ride clip tip up carry .

The clip is crap. Also, ditch the flipper and give me some useable studs. While I'm at it, the bead blast is lame - I want satin instead. :D

I like my skyline, but seriously, it's way too expensive. Sure it's made in the USA, but there is still low quality fit and finish that could be performed in China for $12. Making any changes to this knife would just jack up the price more.

I took mine apart and sanded all the edges of the G10, polished the washers with mag polish on a piece of glass and polished the pivot with a dremel and mag polish. Added some Nano oil, and it's perfect. I'd only ask for a pocket clip that isn't so ugly.

Flat grind

The hollow grind looks terrible in comparison. The flat ground versions look super nice. Not sure why they don't just make the standard version flat ground.

Oh, and get rid of the crappy thumb studs and use a stop pin. It's a flipper. Cluttering up the blade with thumb studs is just sloppy.
