How your perfect Spyderco should look like?

I’m dreaming of a military with a black M4 blade & an orange G10 handle (making it more friendly-looking to NKP and easier to find if dropped when backpacking)

So what would be your perfect Spyderco?

For a larger knife, this one...

concept_stretch_102407.png

Modified version of the Stretch. Odin's Eye Damasteel blade with nice fine jimping on both the ramp and choil, Sambar Stag scales between stainless bolsters, undented lockbar, no clip. Desert Ironwood,

For a smaller knife, this one...

Kiwi with full flat ground blade of Devin Thomas Turkish Twist stainless damascus, and bark Mammoth Ivory scales.

On both knives, scale materials are the one area where I'm somewhat flexible. A number of woods, including Desert Ironwood, Masur Birch, Curly Koa, Lignum Vitae, and Birdseye Maple, would work. Any variety of ivory, ancient or modern would work. Stag would work for the Kiwi as well as the Stretch.

Big: Fully serrated Chinook III

Small: G10 Dragonfly/SE or G10 Cricket/SE(or I will settle for a serrated blade on the etched ones as well:grumpy::foot:)

My Santa Fe Stoneworks VG-10 Police Model. It's the sharpest straight form the factory blade I have yet gotten (it already took a small bite from me).

An all G-10, thicker handle slabs, no steel liners, open design with a beefier liner lock. That's the one for me!
Lycosa

G10 Endura 4 Wave with stainless steel part to hold the spring instead of the FRN now used.
I'd buy at least 2, and I know my dad would buy one as well; he's really liking the Endura 4 Wave I gave him, but the FRN part holding the spring concerns him.
I know it works fine, but SS would make me happier too.:)

Manix with thick, full titanium liners and maybe a slightly bigger lanyard hole.
If I ever had a custom made Spyderco, that's what I'd like.

Left hand Comp locked military (lock like the gunting - its backwards compared to other compression locks)
with tip up, LH clip

Hmmmm....
coyote brown G10 Scales over titanium liners on a Civilian with plain edge, black DLC coated, waved blade that has a stronger tip.
Titanium liners for a Manix, maybe a DLC coating on it too.

I'm thinking another Spyderco balisong, except with a small Spyderhole on the blade in the style of Jerry Hossum or Bill Moran.

The blade and overall design would be aimed more towards general utility and flippability as opposed to the Spyderfly or Szabofly.

The spring latch would be redesigned so that the spring wouldn't break all the time. It would also have a wire clip. A retrofit kit would be availible so that those of us who live in states with reasonable knife laws could install it and be able to lock the knife open.

Also, the blade steel would be AUS-6, with FRN scales over steel liners. It would be kind of like that Smallfly with the G10 handles, except not so heavily skeletonized so more weight is retained for flipping. Why lousy steel and plastic? So I can actually afford to buy one, and maybe even a brand new one for once.

There could also be a deluxe model with super steel and G10, not that I'd be able to afford one.

My 'perfect' Spydie would have the handle shape from my Rescue 79mm, but maybe a half inch longer.

It would be either Zytel (that's right, grippy, lightweight and durable) or G10 like that seen on my Kershaw Avalanche, i.e. grippy.

The blade would be like an older Delica but a half inch longer, that is smaller than an Endura but longer than a current Delica. And with a black pocket clip as that seen on my Rescue 79mm. Street priced under $70.

Sal, I'm happy to try out this prototype for you anytime :)
