Do i sharpen serrations without some wonkey specialty kit? I REALLY dont want to use anything more than a file and a pocket stone if i have to, but almost anything short of a kit will do.

Thanks!

i use a gerber diamond file i got off the clearance rack at walley world for 3 bucks.its flat on one side and round on the other shaped like the letter D. works great on my spydercos.

Spyderco makes a stone that has a sort of squashed oval shape to it (smaller on one end than the other) that is great for sharpening serrations.

I use to use what DOCDRED uses (three uses of the word use in this sentence). Now I sharpen them on the Sharpmaker while I'm honing the rest of the blade.

Wrap 600 grit autobody paper tightly around a piece of metal rod.

you can also use the corner of a bench stone/pocket stone like the edges of the triangle rods on the sharpmaker
