Apparently a bill has passed house and senate to remove Howard Stern from the airwaves.

I know, I know, this is a knife site.

But if our troops are overseas dying to try to bring freedom overseas, how can our government be so blatantly trying to restrict it over here? How can we go after religious fanaticism somewhere else while our president is on CNN trying to get the church to help him spread his own conservative agenda over here?

Granted, Howard's show is generally obnoxious, but he still has a huge fan base. You'd think that would count to represent the will of the people. Regardless of whether some people like or agree with him or not. The first americans died defending the constitution. Freedom of speech, like it or not, was paid for in blood. It's not on layaway, or on credit, it was paid for. And continues to be paid for by every american soldier who takes the oath of service.

I'll Back Bush for going after the obvious bad guys, but if he signs this billl, I think my respect for him will have left the building. Sticking with his guns when he goes after saddam and terrorism it's one thing. Trashing the first amendment is something else entirely.

How does this have anything to do with Emerson knives??? I think you got the wrong forum.
