I happened across this collection of Howard Viele knives last month from an old timer. This was first time I heard of Howard Viele. Well after about a month of negotiating, I brought these beauties home tonight. I was struck by the clean cut lines to his designs and the quality of his craftmanship. I was told these were made in the early to mid 80's and the Mr. Viele is no longer making knives. I noticed several different type of signatures on them. If anyone can shed anylight on these, any information would be appreciated. I tried to search Howard Viele on the net, came up with a little info on him, but not a whole lot. As for his knives for sale, I found only a handfull of folders and no fix bades. How collectable do you think these are and any guess as to the value of them? I plan on dropping Mr. Viele a note to see what he might have to recall on these. Enjoy the pics.
