Hi All!

Yes, it's me again! Since i don't have the slightest opportunity to visit a knife show or even a good authentic-custom knife selling-knife shop, I have to ask loads of question regarding them. All help are appreciated!

O.K, Question- Has anyone had the opportunity to own or handle Howard Viele's work? Quality? How thick are his blade and liners in standard stocks? What i meant was the usual pieces sold by dealers, not custom orders from individuals.

Another Question- Has anyone had the opportunity to own or handle Matt Diskin's work? To be specific, his DA Daggers like the one sold in Arizona Custom Knives.

Thanks!

yes, i had both, a viele and diskin d/a dagger... the fit and finish on the viele was perfect. had a large silent partner, blade was 0.125" stock, the liner was a bit thin for my taste, cant remember how thin it was though. the edges of the handle were also to "sharp" for my taste...
diskins work is good... nothing mor to add from my side, good value for the money IMHO

Thanks Ray!
Since Matt's knife is a DA, how well did the liner lock perform? How thick is the liner lock? What about the auto's leaf spring? Strong compared to a LUDT?
My apologies for all these naive questions cause I don't have a chance to feel them with my own hands. Please help the unfortunate. Thanks!

well, the diskin dagger is big... with a 4" blade and a handle a bit larger its a big knife, with a strong leaf spring, very fast but i cant tell you if its as fast or faster then an UDT, the lock-up was rock solid, the liner thickness was about like a microtech socom. mine had complete filework, rainbow color anodized ti handles and abalone button. a very well made knife
