It's almost finished. Couldn't find one I really liked so I started
making one. Once I have it all figured out I may make more.
The pistol's over 4 lbs. so it'll be a shoulder rig of some sort.

This Howdah Hunter is 20 gauge with the attached steel ram rod.
Here's some pics. of the Howdah ( one with a single six for size comparison ).

You occassionally need something like that ! I've seen a video of tiger wildlife study where the tiger suddenly jumped up to seriously maul the man riding the elephant !!
Do you have photos of original holsters.? Is that a new pistol or an old one ? Very nice work !

No photos of any old original holsters.
This Howdah is new from David Pedersoli.
Next I need the Pedersoli Kodiak double rifle
in .54.

Man....I can just see it now.....

points down range

pulls trigger

covers mouth

picks up his chickletts from the shooting table

Now that's just plain beautiful, both the Howdah, and the holster you made for it.

I want to pick one up myself, but I want it in .58 caliber rather than 20 gauge.

So you went totally nuts and get the 20 gauge smoothbore model? :D Some of the originals fired rather large round balls, even bigger than the .62 of the 20. You know that means that you have to buy the .72 caliber Kodiak double rifle, right?;)

Awesome! Both pistol and holster. Gotta love a gun made with the sole purpose of scraping an enraged tiger off the side of an elephant.

The tis is 1:24 on that .58 which means you may have to use conicals if you want accuracy.
