Hello all, I'd just like to introduce myself to everyone here. I decided to join the forums today and I can tell it's going to be a good run. My name is Justin and I've been collecting/using knives for a couple years now. I'm 15 and I live in the Bay Area of California, anyone else? Well I'll be sharing some information about my experience with knives, so if you would like to stay and read my story, please enjoy. 
This seems like a VERY nice community, one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of joining. I'm sure you guys will welcome me with open arms, I appreciate it. I've recently wanted to give custom knife making a try, but being 15; creating a shop will take quite a lot of savings and time. If any knife makers would like to point me in the right direction before I pick up some equipment, that'd be great. If you guys have any recommendations or regrets please share them with me, I'd love to know.
Because of my lack of money and resources, I've tried out lanyard making. I have to say, it's really fun and relaxing. I'll be sharing my work here with you guys, hopefully you will appreciate it. For a while I just bought cheap novelty knives to set on a shelf and look at every day, but I realized that's not how it should go down, so I've been trying to get rid of my beaters for a collection of usable knives.
That's just my short little introduction, and I'm looking forward to spending time with you guys!
