I don't see an intro forum, so I figured since traditional knives are my favs, I'd do it here.

Howdy ya'll!

Welcome. Looks like you found the right spot. Love to hear about some of your favorite traditionals

Where in the Cross Timbers? I grew up in Stephens County. Breckenridge specifically.--KV

Thanks for the awesome welcome:

Here conveniently on my phone are a Case Trapper, Christmas present from my son. We've started a sort of unofficial tradition of him giving me a knife, and me giving a multi-function tool. I'll have to make sure to tell mama to steer him towards traditional-styles from now on. I carried this for about a month till panic set in when I couldn't find it (turned up in a pair of cargo shorts in my "still-clean-enough-to-wear pile").

Also a Buck 112 that is my current EDC, though it's really too heavy:

The 112 was a gift from co-workers about 20 years ago and has never been used much. One of the cool perks of being an avid hunter is family & friends are always giving knives as gifts. Many are junk, but some are pretty nice. Going through my dresser recently, I found a 2003 Battling Bucks (by Buck) ltd edition in the tin case, never removed. It looks like a mini-Bowie, maybe 4.5" OAL. Also a set of 2 Winchester stockman-style still in the tin.

My EDC for over 20 years was a Buck 307 Wrangler, till it was lost through a hole in my pocket. Dad gave me his 301 Stockman to replace it, but I retired it when he passed a few years ago. I miss that Wrangler and may have to bite the bullet and find one somewhere.

I have a multitude of others I'll be posting in the future.

Thanks again for the welcome!

Welcome!! Hang around here to much and pretty soon you will have more knives than you know what to do with and be living in the dog house lol.

A warm welcome to you sir! Pour yourself a cup of coffee, and enjoy the wealth of knowledge, spectacular pictures, and global camaraderie that graces this small section of the internet.

A big ole Texas welcome. You will find this a great place to be your calming medicine when you have had a rough day. The knowledge and friendship is the best. Stay awhile and enjoy the stories, pictures, and enabling.
