I've been a lurker for awhile now, and I noticed that, often, when I did an internet search about a knife-related topic, it would lead me to a thread here. So, I decided it was high time that I sign up. I live in NC, and my blades go on fishing and camping trips, as well as ride in my pockets for EDC and self-defense. Some of my favorite blades are my Buck Stockman, Spyderco Delica 4, and Mora 840 Clipper. I'm looking forward to chatting with you folks.
 
I lived in Boone and then down the mountain a bit for several years. There was a great stocked trout lake on the east side of the mountains at a park where I taught my wife how to fish.

I went to Appalachian State, and, try as I did, I still left a lot of trout water unexplored up there when I graduated. It's a wonder I ever got any work done. Boone is still one of my favorite places in the known universe.
 
I read where they just discoved (rediscovered) a ghost town in the SMNP. There are a lot of unexplored places in those mountains, still. My wife is a city girl and when we moved there, on our first morning we were sitting on the deck drinking coffee and from the peak rising immediately behind us, a mountain lion let go a huge squall. My wife looked at me with eyes as big as dinner plates. It was so funny.
