Just wanted to introduce myself to all you fine ladies and gentlemen before I started unloading all my newbie questions :)

Howdy, my name is Aron Douglas and I am a south east Georgia farm boy. I have been a knife enthusiast all my life, and now I want to try and make my own knives. I've work just about every trade job as well as farming, so I understand the importance in knowledge and wisdom of a trade. And I thank you everyone for posting such helpful, skilled and experienced information so freely.

As soon as I look around more, I'll post my ideas and questions on a knife I want to build. And again, thank you everyone for posting some very useful information here.

Thank you for the welcomes, and yes, I just stumbled upon the W&C section LOL. And I thought there was good information and pictures before I joined up :) :)

Now if I can just find out how to make an avatar and signature I'll be set....

I see you are into paintball and fantasy games. Here on bladeforums we have a lot of those, but in Shop Talk ( where yo are also posting), most are real world knife makers. Pretend killer commando knives and such will not get much help. Asking real question about how to make a real use knife is a better way to go.
 
I sure as heck hope I dont ever have to use such a knife, but I'd rather not get caught without one. I am not making a wall hanging or show knife, I really want this knife to preform. But yes I do see what you are saying and sorry if I am walking the rules and morals line.
 
Heres a stupid question...wheres the forum rules?? I cant find any other than the ones listed on the initial register.
 
LOL, nope. I found the rules in the W&C area though. I'd better find them soon before I get to many post. The last thing I want is for someone to start spouting off rules and regs to me that I never knew existed :)
