Howland and Samson Axe head, TERRIBLE CONDITION

Hello all, new here, first time posting.
I was just given a 5(ish)lb Howland and Samson single bit axe head. Completely rusted, having been found buried in a collapsed shed. The poll is mushroomed so bad, that it "widened" the bottom eye opening ( oddly, symmetrically). The stamp has a gash right down the middle. I was planning to turn it back into a working axe, until I figured out the brand. Does it have any value as is? Should it be restored? Wall hanger? Or should I encase it in epoxy, to use as a bookend?

You gotta give us a picture.

Bottom line, old rusty mushroomed axes don't have much value. There's no harm in making it usable again.
