From a house sale over the weekend. Handle is marked in script "Worthington B.W.". Is 27" overall, shown next to full size Plumb Victory DB for comparison:

Some guy local to me said he would trade me some nice bucking saws for it, I will have to check them out.
 
Thanks for this Steve. A Canuck enterprise! These must have been farmed out to Welland Vale or Walters, or else imported from USA. Neat that this old axe has it's original handle. The handle, by the way, is not of a style that Walters was known for making. Anyone got any OEM Welland Vale hafts on hand?

Right, it is a good match for the tiny head. Did you see the cache of Turner-Day boy-axe handles from the early 70s I ran across a few weeks ago? Their size and shape varies quite a bit, some quite slender, some quite heavy. All of them look good though....

Certainly looking at these hafts from the back all but 2 are first class!
