My Howling Fat just arrived Saturday and I think I'm gonna like it, but I need a reasonably priced IWB/Belt sheath in kydex or leather. I saw one by First Position and one by Progunner (for other knives) for @$30 at the company store. If you guys are out there and can help me with a sheath for the HF, let me know.

p.s. For @$50 I have a lot of choices, but I'd like to keep the sheath at around $30.

Okay, another related question. Those of you who own Howling Fats, or Howling Rats, show me your sheaths....

I'm trying to decide exactly what I want, prices seem to be running between $40-50. If anyone knows of something decent and less expensive let me know.

Here is my low cost solution.

Milk jug and zip ties. I call it Mootex.

I made my own "moodex" sheath for my Howling Fat last night, thanks for the idea. I slip mine in a nylon sheath built for a large folder (ala the old kydex inside nylon sheahts) and leave the flap open and carry it in my shorts pocket around the house.

You should have seen my wife's friend's face when I pulled it out to cut something before our housewarming shower. I think she said something to the effect of "wow, that's a big knife to be carrying around". To which I replied "not for around the house":) If they only knew...
