Just wondering if we're going to see a return of this guy. I'm digging on short and wide blades at the moment. Anyone else like to see the return of the Howling Rat?

I'd love to see a return of the Howler LM. Very versatile little blade. Mine is a keeper.

I am definitely a fan: good balance, great handle, beautiful lines/design...

I wouldn't mind if the choil were either a lot smaller or a tad bigger, and also wouldn't mine a thinner bevel geometry - mine came terribly obtuse from the Swamp, brought it down to 15-dps. It's a stout little blade, a bit heavy for the size but it can sure take a beating. I remember pics of Ironwolf's HRLM on RatChat, those pushed me to get one right before they were discontinued. Glad I did :thumbup:

If they killed the choil on this guy I would love to have one of these. I wouldn't mind if it was a Howling Dog.

Better, but again...FFG and less ricasso area, please. Similar to say...that of a SYKCO 311.

Isn't the Howling Rat 4.5" blade length? I have a Yard Keeper CG and LE.

I have a 311 too.

I'm just suggesting that if another HR is released...It would be "cool", if it were a little different from previous versions and would compliment similar knives very well.

Nah, the 311 blade is basically the R3 which is basically the Swamp Warden which was FFG, and all are quite a bit smaller than the Howler or HRLM. The HRLM has the reduced ricasso but it has an "elf" choil and isn't FFG. A dremel can enlarge the choil to be like the older HR, but FFG would take a bit more work...

I'm not really looking for any, just making suggestions on "what could be" if another is ever released.
