Hi forumites,

Been a lurker fow a while and receive (learn) some good advise and reviews here at survival.

Since i've found the site, have notice that Bagheera is quite regulars with his posting. Always learn something new from him. In fact it was on BF that i found out 'bout the disaster at the WTC in NY. It was from Bagheera posting of the condolences message and another forumites attach pics shortly after the incident. At the time it was 'bout 9:55am NY time (one hour after the incident). Couldn't believe it till i check CNN news.... tried CNN.com but it was jammed.

Anyway, although it's kinda late but i like everyone to know in US that us in the far-east sent our best to those gallant people at WTC, the Pentagon & in those planes. Be strong. Have notice also that Bagheera have since halted posting since then.... hope everything's okay. I've would thought that Bagheera would be one of the first to sent reply to the thread 'bout Boy Scout, you know, being a scout and all.

One of the reason i joint BF is to always be inform, be ready, learn to stay alert in case we could help in anyway and find strength in the strong comrades spirit among forumites.

Peace....Bob

Hi banshee,

I'm alive and kicking but my regular job, the one that feeds me an my family is taking up a lot of time the past month or so.
I find less and less time while at work, and I'm behind a screen 9 hours a day , to visit the forums and go over the different posts.

On top of that my work laptop and subsequently my home PC got infected by the wwNimda virus and when fighting that "infection" the laptop developed an problem with the power supply.
I then got an spare laptop that had to be reinstalled with Windows 2000 Server again and MB of programs and customer problems etc transfered etc. in short I was left with no spare time to visit the BF.

Things will change a little as we just got a permanent cable connection at home and so it is easy to just bve connected to the Internet without the Telephone company getting richer and richer ;)

I'll try contributing somewhat more but in just 1.5 weeks I have an important conference event and have to prepare myself and everything else also for I'm to speak there and direct most of the other technical things happening at it.

I'll look over the Boy Scout ... later but the best boy scout knife got to be an SAK and preferably one of the bigger bladed ones with a locking blade, saw, can opener etc. It's not to expensive, the guarantee is "out of this world" and it'll last a lifetime.

Just ask Ron Hood or watch some of his videos, he uses a SAK Rucksack most of the time and then of course some of his bigger babies ;) as well.

Best Scouting wishes from Holland,

Bagheera

Hello Banshee. Good to hear from you and thanks for getting Bagheera to say "something."

Bagheera, that sure was a set of technical "time-outs" with the computer, cables and programs. Glad to hear you are well and keeping busy. Thank you for the well wishes.

Until later....FF

Hi Fred,

I should have emailed you a long time ago like so many friends.
It's now just 08:30 am and in 1.5 hours I have an appointment with a jaw surgeon, to see when I need a jaw operation.
I'd rather sit in the emergency room having to wait for a "nice" cut to be sown together that was made in a carefull moment caressing a Busse ZT BM or so ;).

Guys, not with standing all the horrendous things that happened since September 11 and are still occurring I think we should get "more action" in the Forum, it has become slower since....., well I personally feel it got slower when the BladeForums changed to it's current form, but that's a discussion for another 'forum'.

Best Scouting wishes from Holland,

Bagheera

Bagheera,
