As a member of the WKCC, I guess it's up to me to try and answer. And apologize for our flaky website. I have tossed out my latest newsletter lising all the participants, but one more is due before the show. I'll get you guys a list ASAP. I'm not as much into Custom knives as you guys are, I try and buy one good handmade 'User' per year (by a Michigan maker), but if I don't find what I like, I concentrate on old production knives.
I guess the list, when I post it, will tell the tale for you. I like the show, for obvious reasons (membership & only an hour from home), but again, I don't collect customs. The members do display some very nice collections: One lady has an excellent miniture display, there was a 'collection of one' last year... a Micheal Price dagger (like how many times am I gonna get the chance to handle one of those??), a HUGE display of Fight'n Roosters, ect.
Kovals is there, of course. Phillip Booth with his neat little knives (I like his table display... it is up high, you don't have to lean down, the Blade Show doesn't allow it), KNIFE WORLD MAGAZINE which means the very friendly/knowledgable Mark Zeleski (he is one of the judges as well), Jot Singh Khlasa (hard to miss him at a show-- he is the one without a cowboy hat).
Yes, Chiro, a little of everything.
Lots of parking... but you have to pay. The Novi expo center is a nice place for a show, plenty of hotels, places to eat, real close.
Again, More to come.
Phil
