How's the RAT logo put on the blade?

Forgive me if this is already covered somewhere. I was wondering how the logo and other markings are applied to the blades, especially the DESERT TAN models. They look different than the black blades and I want to know if stripping the coating off the blade will leave the logo intact on the Desert blades.
Thanks!

don't quote me but I believe that they are laser engraved and will stay on the blade unless you scrap to hard removing your coating. I would try a heavy duty paint stripper...

oh! also 1095 will rust:grumpy: so the more of it thats unprotected the more care has to be used to keep rust at bay...

There should be a pic's on the way of the production process, that might help this question along.

stripping the coating should not harm the etched logo but if you use sand paper to much to polish the uncoated blade ,the logo can be removed.
1095 uncoated will rust, reason for the coating...

That's what I thought, just wanted to confirm it for future reference.
