How do you guys like the vic rucksack. Its my first sak, and does anyone have any info on it?

I have the Workchamp - the big brother to the Rucksack and it is a great knife. The main blade locks - and I have had no problems with the locking system at all.

It's a big knife - the 111 series are too big to pocket carry IMHO. I do not like belt pouches.

Rucksack is an excellent choice for an outdoor folder.
Coupled with a good khukuri, machete, or hatchet, you will have all the tools you need for camping, etc.
It may not be tacticool, but it works. :)

I've used one for at least 15 years. They are popular all over the place: I've seen guides inside the Arctic Circle pull them out.

A few days ago I got a plain edge One-Hand Trekker. Very similar except a Phillips screwdriver instead of the corkscrew.

On our recent mini W&SS hike with Ray, Dave, and Sasha from the forums we had a few Swiss Army Knives and Sasha was interested in the OHT PE so I thought I would share with everyone here.

I couldn't agree more. I have loved my Rucksacks for almost 20 years. I've replaced mine with a Hunter and I'm still not sure I made the right move. I take from your post that you've already have a Ruck. If not, there are many models that are very similar. It is simply a matter of what's your flavor. corkscrew vs. phillips, liner lock vs. slide lock, etc. Treat it right and it will become a trusted friend and beloved companion.
