Howto remove Remora insert in BK-9 sheath?

As I don't have a Remora BK13CP and they seem unavailable around here ...
I have nothing that fits in the Remora sheath part in the pocket of my BK-9 sheath.
So... I tried to pull out the platic insert outof the Remora pocket on my BK-9 sheath today to get a little extra space.

To my surprise it won't come out..
Is it stitched or glued in somehow at the bottom?
The top part seems to move around free.
Didn't want to use too much force and damage it in case I want to put it back someday if I own a BK13.

Any suggestions on how to remove it with the possibility to put it back?
Or best just leave it there and learn to live with the empty sheath?

A package from 1066vik showed up on this side of the pond today.
Package was bigger than what I expected for a BK13, but you never know on overseas shipping.

After opening it up I was completely blown away.
The 13 was packaged really REALLY wel...
in the sheath of a BK 16!!!!!!
Along with the BK-16, extra handles, stickers....

I can still feel the excitement pumping in my body when I'm typing this.
Such an incredible generous, act of kindness from someone I never met irl and probably ever will...
I honestly don't know what to say to express my gratitude.
Thank you so much!
