HR, 550 chord and some extra kydex

I just made a D-guard for my HR using the "survival bracelet" method and added a lanyard loop. The loop allows you to use the blade in multiple positions without fear of dropping it. I thought it would be cool to show the different positions I like with this knife.
1. skinning type hold
2. whittling hold
3. chopping hold
4. Hanging when not in use

I know the HR is not a chopper but it does good on the smaller stuff. While I was at it I made a sheath from a spare chunk of kydex. The kydex I have laying around is a little thick and hard to mold into a small knife sheath. My next order will be the thinner stuff. It did not turn out to bad though. I consolidated all the pics to conserve bandwidth. Here it is:

Awesome!

I need to try that D-ring guard... Looks good and useful.

I like it because:
1- it looks cool and
2- it allows you to get as far rearward as possible and maintain control of the knife

The loop allows you to drop the knife while skinning instead of constantly laying it down, It also prevents from chopping off of a foot if you were to accidently drop it.

If anyone wants to see the pattern I used, I have a tutorial on my website. I also have the tutorial for the square braid lanyards:

Hope this helps someone out.

one other thing, you always have para chord on your knife. The D-guard has the inner strands, the square braid lanyard does not contain the inner chords.
