HR sizing help

I am planning on picking up a new HR from the for sale thread pretty soon and had a quick question for you owners out there:

Which size of Spec-Ops sheath will fit the HR?
I want to throw it on my first-line belt, and don't want to wait in line for a kydex one. I was thinking the large combat master sheath would be the fit; however, will the small work or no?

Hey Bro,

I have mine resting in a short Spec-Ops Combat Master. I had to do a little re-fitting of the plastic insert, but it worked out awesome! HOOYA!
 
you would have to take the screw out of the short one for it to fit. the large works great though.

if you want a kydex sheath fast, mashed cat makes a damn good sheath. i got one a week after putting in the order. you might have to wait that long for most people to ship you a spec ops sheath.

the HR is a badass knife. should serve you well

Thanks for your responses guys. So the short will work with the screw out? I had one of the long survival versions for a while so I know it should be ok.

About mashed cat, do you need to send a knife in for them or do they have a bunch of molds or knives on hand to size the kydex properly?
