HR-Standard or Magnum Scales

The Busse HR looks like my kind of knife. May I ask the difference between the standard and magnum scales?

Why would Dude need a search feature?

The thread was right there at the top of the heap, within Dude's plain sight.

If Dude had only looked, then Dude and Dude wouldn't have to bother with taking Dude to task.

i prefer the mags on the HR, but the regulars are very nice if your hands are smaller. i wear a large size in gloves.

the hr is of the thinner 3/16th infi so fat handles don't feel to fat. now on the fatter 5/16th infi i prefer the standard scales.

Hey John, welcome to Bladeforums. Man, I didn't notice your post count when I first responded. Sometimes we have a little fun over in this neck of the woods, but I hope there are no hard feelings. I was mainly just making fun of rbmcmjr's "Dude" post, but on second look, I realize it probably didn't come off that way. My apologies.

Anyway, I figured you got the info you needed from the other thread. I posted a more serious response in that one. In all fairness, that thread was titled "What's The Difference???" and was not, at first glance, identifiable as a thread about grips.

I think Skunker is right though. With a big thick blade, the mag grips MIGHT be too much for comfort. Some folks love them on big blades though, so it's really one of those "got to try it out" situations. And of course, you'll have the above picture emblazoned in your memory banks to remember, "Fat on Skinny and Skinny on Fat."
