HRC on One Piece SA knifes in D2?

Hello guys,
I hope you can help me out. I tried to find out the hardness of D2 steel that Chris used on his one piece knives in South Africa. Unfortunately I don't find any information.

I have one SA aviator with D2 steel year 1985, the hardness on the birthday card is 56~58 rc.
