This sheath for my Swamp Rat HRLM was made by Martin Swinkels; it is a leather and kydex hybrid, with the best features of each. It shrugs off rain and mud and looks fabulous no matter where it is. The leather seems like it was melted on to the kydex, there is no extra material or bulk anywhere on the sheath. The retention strap is easy to use and keep out of the way and the retention screw works well to adjust the tension of the opening.
Martin Swinkels is a great guy; easy to work with and willing to stand behind his work no matter what. He is receptive to any input or changes I want to make and I look forward to working with him again.
