Hello: I am not one of the people that come to sites like this looking for info because I am to lazy to look things up.....here is my problem, I have spent hours trying to get info on a knife I found and this is really my last hope.......it is a Hibbard Spencer Bartlett Co. knife with what looks like Aluminum handles, it has two blades and is very thin. The handles are engraved with flowers, stems and leafs.... anyone can help me I thank you in advance. I would like to know when it was made, (the handles are in beautiful shape blades are dirty) and if they are rare and what they are worth...I know, my camera is at my office so no photo right now... Semper Fi.........Randy

Hi Randy. Unless you are a Gold and above member, we are not really allowed to ask questions on value of a knife. Those are the rules and we all are just guests here, and lucky we have such a great informing forum.

That said, to find out more about this knife you might email a mod, Esav Benyamin" comes to mind and ask them to move this to the Bernard Levine forum, who is an expert on all things pointy and sharp!

Finally, WELCOME ABOARD! You will get a wealth of knowledge if you stay here any time at all. You will also get some great companions.

Good luck on getting some information on the knife!

Welcome, and yes this should go to the Bernard Levine forum. While they will not assess value they certainly should be able to tell you about when and where made, etc. They will most certainly want pictures however, Bernie has some stickies on how to take and post good pictures. Cheers!
