hey guys i was looking in the for sale area, and saw the HT oven Hurley has for sale. i was wondering what you think about this piece of equipment?
i'd love to have a HT oven finally. let me know what you think. thanks guys

I think you should buy it. It's priced about a third of what they normally sell for.
 
looks like it would be nice for small knives and folder blades
to me i just think its a little small
now that said maybe you could use it for now and then build a larger kiln and use some of the parts

Yep, it'd be perfect for folder blades and small neck knives and little hunters. Also, it wouldn't take as long to get up to heat, I imagine.
 
You will probably need a digital controler at some point so you can save and run programs for different steels. It has a setpoint controler now and it will be great for knives up to about 12" long. I would get it if I was you.
