Hua Wei Katana

I just got in my new katana, 9260 Hua Wei Forge Katana with battle wrap

i love this thing! blade is very well polished, the kisaki is flawless, tsbua is musashi style and solid iron, ito is battled wrapped and very tight, i think it is high thread cotton but almost feels silk like, very tight fuchi and kashira , very very well balanced , so fast in the hand, the saya is beautiful hardwood, and the koichugi is very well made and fits the hibaki nice and tight, below are pictures

The edge looks all ragged in the second picture. Is it already full of nicks, or is there just debris stuck onto the edge from hacking cardboard or something?

hah no that is the fibers of the blanket it is on hanging on the edge, kinda looks like nicks
