Huberds Shoe grease

Pine tar and beeswax is a solid combination. I add BLO to it but would be fine without the BLO.

Like 42 says beeswax isn't a wood polish but I prefer it over a hard wax like carnauba because the grip feels better to me. It won't last as long as carnauba wax though.

I was just curious as I use it on my boots, and had just used some on an axe sheath. I rubbed some on a piece of hickory and it looked kinda good. I'm cleaning up an old True Temper sb with phantom bevels that's in good shape with what appears like the original haft, and might used it on that. Thanks, Dog

Any idea as to the mixture? Dog

I prefer to add pinetar to the haft first and then follow by a paste of BLO and wax. I let the pinetar soak in usually over night and wipe of the excess before a pasrte of BLO and wax. No fancy recipe for the wax BLO paste, it depends if it's summer or winter on how much BLO to add to get it soft emough.

Pine tar is great on rakes shovels ect.
