Hey all,
This weekend was Thanksgiving for us Canucks. Time to enjoy the company of family, hikes through the forest in the freezing cold and rain
thumbup
, and, of course, turkey. Now, when it comes to carving turkey, I am spoilt for choice. Of course I have carving knives - but they lack a certain presence and authority. Plus, they aren't really wide enough to serve with, and that's a drag. This year the carving knives stayed in the drawer, and I used my JK Hudson Bay instead.
Sorry, I have no knife vs. turkey shots, but this blade really excelled this weekend! It was used for food prep, turkey carving, kindling chopping, trail maintenance / bush-whacking, and fuzz-stick shaving.
So, here's a belated 'happy Thanksgiving' to all of my fellow Canucks (and to the rest of you too!). And here are a few shots from the trail this weekend.
All the best,
- Mike
