Hudson Forge: Anyone know who made these, and where?

This one came with good edge geometry and a very nicely shaped, slim handle. It makes me think the company that made it knew what they were doing. I'm curious.

I'm curious too. I have a half-hatchet so marked. Don't particularly like it, but it seems like a good piece of steel.

Thank you. It is shaped like a lot of Collins axes I've seen, particularly the pole.

Any idea if Hudson Forge was a separate brand that contracted Collins, or associated with a certain store or region, etc.?

A reference to Hudson Forge from worthopedia:

"Vintage woodworking plane from Hudson Forge Co. {Ohio Tool & Die} Ceased business prior to 1950"

Evidently they sold other tools, too, such as chisels and wrenches.
