Hudson Hawk Knife

I recently had the pleasure of watching Hudson Hawk on DVD. (and Yes, I do like the movie.) I put the disc in slow motion and watched the knife used by the butler in the movie. Having watched the tape originally on video, I figured the 20" blade extending from the butler's wrist was simply movie magic. At the slower speed I realized that the blade actually pivoted in the middle and folded back on itself before moving nack into the handle. I am curious if this knife exist anywhere or am I insane for wanting it so badly. Any help would be much appreciated.

The blades carried by the butler had the distinct appearance of a movie prop rather than an actual functional knife. I would suspect there's no such animal available to the general public, outside of movie prop auction sites and the like.

And tomorrow when you wake up it will be worse.

Actually after watching the director's commentary, I found out that the knife is real but very difficult to get to work properly.
