Back in the early '70's , The Coghlin's Co. (spelling?) marketed several of these stype of axes. Two were single bit, one a small hand axe that was the handiest small chopper i have ever owned.
The others were similar sized to the single bit, but were double bit ,including ths small hand axe. It's a shame these are not available today..or am I just missing them??

You're just missing them! Snowe & Neally of Bangor, Maine still makes them, as I'm sure other companies do. I'd be willing to bet a search of the web would turn up a distributor or even their own website. I keep one behind the seat of my truck, it's been a help on more than a few occasions.

The Snow & Neally axes are my personal favorite Hudson Bay type axes. I got mine through the Kittery Trading Post in Kittery, Maine. Give them a try if you don't find the axes elsewhere.
PS.. If I remember correctly, LL Bean's had a few in their showroom, too.

Great choice, that's the one I have. It's got enough handle to use both hands if necessary and enough weigh to split some serious wood. Still small enough to be easily packed, too.
