I think someone might have posted a picture of that, or something similar, in an April Fools' post on the Knife Reviews & Testing forum.

What a bastid to sharpen!

From the article:
"A FRIGHTENING, multi-bladed knife destined for Melbourne's streets was among a cache of weapons seized by Customs yesterday."

That's just sad. I mean, does the Australian government REALLY believe that there were going to be street gangs walking around Melbourne with these things on their hands? Were they going to disguise them by wearing them as hats??? Do they think their citizens are that gullible?

Sensationalism at it's best. :barf:

Look at the size of the customs guy's hand compared to his head. I think that the picture was taken up very close with a very wide angle lens to make it appear larger than it is.

This is the third thread on this topic in 2 days. Do any of you check out the other forums on BF.C to see if it has been posted already?! A story as important as this one would surely have been brought up on a knife discussion board when it broke.

Please check out the Community Forum for the related topic.

That knife is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen  ! It would, however, scare me in a dark alley. Ummmm, until I realize what a Star Trek geek the guy was who is wearing it :D . (Sorry. I meant no insult to any Star Trek geeks who frequent this forum)

The knife is as rediculous as the Aussie customs and media :barf: .
I`m glad I live in a country where the regulations and laws is still somewhat in touch with reality.
Jeez!!

Heh. Norway 'passed' an Assault Shotguns Ban since he wrote that.
Actually, they didn't democratically pass anything -- the Police Directorate just up and decided that they could twist the meaning of the Firearms Law into prohibiting all semiautomatic shotguns with pistol grip stocks, detachable magazines, or a mag cap in excess of five.
At the same time, they 'passed' regulation that forbids a Glock from being threaded for a silencer, but not a 1911-clone.

In touch with reality?
