The blade is from old steam engine boiler plates 17" X 2" X 1/4" thick.
Overall it is 24". The guard is of the same steel 3/4" wide. The handle scales
are canvas micarta set in black oxe leather with stinless bolts.
The blade is beveled but yet unsharpened.

Very nice. That looks almost like a huge bowie or a short sword, impressive either way.

I would love to see some close ups of the blade and handle. I like that finish.

That's one of the Coolest D-guard's I've seen. The Lines look Slimmer for this style of knife, making it Quicker in Hand. The Longer Top Clip Doesn't Hurt the Overall Look Either.Keep Up the Great Work.

Thanks,
I'm making a adjustable crossdrawel sheath for it.
This knife is sold at $ 220.
I goofed on the serrations. They were 5" in a sketch that
I drew and agreed to. I took $ 30. off for my mistake.
I'll post pics. of the sheath when done.
How's my pricing for a custom of this sort.
Mike

I love it. Makes me want to walk up to Crocadile Dundee and say that's not a knife, This is a Knife mate!

There's a place in Gettysburg called "The Union Drummer Boy" that has a great collection of D-guard Bowies, It's very impressive, if you are in the area you really should see them!

And it's a beautiful knife you have, because I'm not clear...is that a knife you had customzied, did you make it, or buy it as is?

I made it. I'll be making a similar one shortly for a member here. I also make
my own sheathes.
Thanks,
Mike
