Huge, huge kickass double thumb's up for SOG Customer Service!!!

I just thought it was only fair to put it out into this forum that SOG's customer service is hands down THE BEST i've ever experienced in the EDC/gear world. I had a small problem with a SOG item i bought and Lindsay from the warranty service department(?) made commincation incredibly easy, very clear, and responded superfast with answers to all my questions.

I've bought lots of stuff through the years and SOG has been the most consistent, enthusiastic and responsive manufacturer i've ever dealt with!.

Period.

Not only do i love their Tomcat line, i love even more that an actual human being responds to my needs as a customer.

Too, too frikkin' cool!:thumbup::thumbup:
 
I bought a Tomcat 3.0. It had some mechanical issues. I think it was just "one of those things". I've had several SOG knives and i swear by them. This was the first problem i ever had, so i was a little nervous about sending it back to them since i've never sent a knife back to the manufacturer before. I sent an email and called. Lindsey emailed back in a couple hours with clear instructions on how to get it fixed, and she even went so far as to call me herself. I was impressed. Never had ANYBODY from any company call me to help me get a problem fixed.

In this day of computer system support lines and automatic answering services i was really glad to get help from a real person.

I'm definitely down with SOG for life...lol
 
When i sent my 3.0 in for repairs SOG looked at it, decided to replace it, notified me and had it delivered all in less than 2 weeks. Pretty stunning, IMHO.

I've waited months for other makers to deal with my problem knives. The personal attention and super-fast turn-around was really refreshing.

I'm definitely a SOGer for life. Customs are waay outta my price-range, so i'm really glad i can get quality stel for a fair price. On a side note- i'm trying to learn how to make my own. Maybe one day i'll get good and sell a design to SOG...lol.

Note: In my above post i said i hadn't ever sent a knife in to be repaired. That was wrong: i have, but only a couple times in the 30+ years i've been involved with knives. Neither experience prior to SOG was terrible enough to stand out, but once i experienced SOGs service the other times came back to me. Both these instances were years ago and miles away. Much has happened in my life in between, so those times were forgotten. I only clarify this so not to make a liar of myself.
