Back at the end of April I had post some pictures of some of my old scout knives in a thread one with a broken scale, well the next time I signed into BF there was a message from Mark saying if I wanted new scales for the scout send it his way, I explained to him that the scales were not its only issues and wasn't sure if it was worth his time. He said send it along and he'll see what he could do, we talked about a few alternatives for it. Fast forward to today, after a stellar day with my wife and girls at the zoo, I think this was the first time I've left my property in a month, I came home to a package from Mark, like a child on Christmas morning I tore into it, and well pictures will tell this story better:

My old scout:

My new equal end harness knife:

Mark gave this scout a new life

But wait, wait, wait that's not all Mark threw in to boot a Boker USA 1428 equal end penknife, made sometime between 1945-50 very very generous and thoughtful, once again I am floored.

Both these knives are in my pocket, the scout modified is really great as I'm a fan of awl/punch blades, Mark did an amazing job, thank you so much Mark for taking the time out of your busy life to do this gesture for me, I really appreciate it very much, these will both be used and treasured.

Nice work for sure bringing that piece back to life. Awesome.

That Boker is a nice one too you'll like. I've one like that model, and they're a great knife. Well made.

Kudos to you Mark!

Mark is a Millionaire when it comes to richness of Character - and a man of SUCH talents!!! - Pete you have a wonderful knife there Sir - but you are not the only one to have Mark share his generosity with - he sent me such a wonderful knife- its just amazing!!
I must admit I kinda liked the old Scout too though in its state that it was - buy Oh man what talent to turn that knife around to what it is today.

Great stuff guys.

What? Marks a great guy????:D why yes he is!!! Mark is very generous and I'm proud to call him my brother from another Mother;) Mark has extended his generosity to both Nanc and myself:)

Beautiful Pete, hope you and your family are well:thumbup:

Very cool, those look great and the new covers keep the original character of the knives perfectly.

Paul the girls are doing great thanks for asking, how are your little boys doing:D

Mark did a wonderful job converting my old scout into a single spring equal end punch knife, here's a new pic, I took both of them to the stone and it looks like one of the old Bokers previous owner intentionally dulled the first 1/4" or so maybe to use with a pipe?

Mark thanks again, I'm proud to be carrying these today,

Pete
