meh....
I remember seeing a custom in a knife magazine a couple years ago that used the "belt" as a sheath, and when you pulled it, you squeezed a part of the handle which caused tension and made the sword rigid.

What keeps your pants up during the sword fight?
I'd have to say I wouldn't know it was a sword until the last second... though I still may shoot a man undoing his belt in front of me just for creeping me out. If it wasn't sharp... it'd probably make a great rigid gun belt.
