Fail was between 150 slices and 200 slices ..
I dont remember the slices before the mod ( some where around 200 / 250 )
So the scandi edge has lost 50 to 100 slices in edge retention .
What it has gained is a frighteningly sharp edge ( Scalpel Like ) .
The edge rolled after about 20 slices ( could feel it slicing the rope )
But it was so sharp , that no effort was required to get thru the rope .
Anyways , after 150 slices the roll seems to have broken away creating a bit of a flat spot ( seen with the naked eye in direct sun light )
I used the strop with compound - 3 passes each way and the edge was back !
A few more passes on leather and it was good again .
I have ordered more rope as I am running out .. SO hopefully another 50 meters on the way .
Will the edge resist rolling now that it has rolled ? ( will edge holding improve ) ...
Have to wait for more rope ...
So many knives , so little rope !
