Creepy title, I know, but I have a question about an old military ice chest I have. I thought maybe someone here might know where I could get more info.

I have a 24"x24"x25" military cooler/chest. Looks to be from maybe the Korean war era. Along the bottom it is stenciled "PROPERTY U.S. GOV'T DEPT. OF DEFENSE", and on all sides "HUMAN BLOOD HANDLE WITH CARE" There is also an inset with care instructions, that is removable/replaceable. The inside is about 2" of insulation all around (sides, bottom, top). It was quite the conversation piece as a side table, and looks great at halloween with dry ice in it, but I might need to get rid of it and want to know more about it.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks, Josh

Just wash it out with bleach and it should be good to go. Bleach is a wonderful disinfect and and cleaner.

Actually, even 10% bleach is very effective. We use it on all kinds of bio hazards in that strength on the ambulance.
