Human Bone Scaled Buck 110 :)

I would like one of those its one bone handle I can say I don't have

yes i am sure you posted it as a thing that make you go hummmm...
and it does make you go hummm and think of life ...
it is something that has a sub culture of collectors like thoes that only collect knives that are bloody..

I dunno ... I can see how it might be okay if the person who originally owned the bones wanted one of them used in that way upon their demise. Weirder things have happened and sometimes people really like to hold onto a piece of their deceased loved ones, sometimes literally.

Of course, I can see how if it were the bone of an "enemy" or some such that it might upset some people! ;)

Rhino,

it would be kind if you edit your Post too. I feel ill when I know what is written here. Please do me the favor.

Herbert

I dont understand the horror.
I can understand if it were a mass produced model there'd be cause for concern, but I had been wondering why I hadn't seen one yet. Indeed, as rhino stated, I could see it happening for some reason. With all the knife knuts around here I expected one to exist.
Maybe its the medical background in my family, but it doesn't seem that bad.

it was a joke... I googled Bone found a pic. Got a pic of a 110 and then deleted the original scales. Then cut the shape out of the bone pic and then layered it underneath...

Was just a giggle... thats all did not mean to offend *anyone*

It wouldn't surprise me if one does exist.
Not after hearing that there is a maker of gems gotten from human ashes.

Agreed.... its all down to personal preference :) some people are sheepish about having Stag and Buff handles... personally I like them but there are others that hate them with a passion. Show a Stag Handled 110 to a animal activist and you will see what I mean....

I agree with you Dave - I know someone who only collects WWII knives that still have bloodstains on them... pretty sick (in my opinion)

It made me shiver - brrrrrr

Herbert

Herbert..

Sorry I should explain one thing..

I am a born and bread Londoner. Born in the rough East End of London in 1969. The term taking "someones legs away" from them does *not* mean crippling or removing the legs. It means putting them on the floor. Similar to getting "legless" as in drunk... ie not having the ability to stand up.

I could use...

Knock him out
Chin him
Deck him
Bosh him
Bong him (newer term)
Take legs away

Its just that I am a Londoner and I type as I speak. And the 110 never existed.. just playing with Macromedia Fireworks and Photoshop :)

Hope that clears it up for you... :)

Mav,

first: I'm deeply grateful that you edited your post at once when you picked
up that you hit a tender spot.

I didn't sense it as a joke. The human bone scales seemed me true. It made
me thinking to the medic who covered his bar stool with human skin, and that
is a true story! We all know the outrages that were done in the last century.
My gorge is rising when I think about that. So it scared me when I read your
text. And I think (hope?) that I'm not alone with this feeling. That's the
background to my response, but finally also to avoid the trouble you may get
with such a theme.

To take someones legs away – thank you for the explaining. And I
understand. In Germany we have the saying to make someone a head
shorter. That means: To say somebody your opinion distinctly. That's similar
to your sentence.

All the best and I'm looking forward on drinking a beer together
Haebbie
