Just finished the Arctic episode. Way cool shows on how folks live around the world. Lotta good info on day to day survival with each group.

I thought the Treehouse People on the Grassland and Jungle episode were very cool. Imagine building a treehouse 10 stories up in the top of a tree, and bringing your kids, pets and so forth up there. I can't even imagine climbing 10 stories on scaffold made from branches and vines, much less living up there. Its wacky.

i watched the arctic version also. they have figured out some very very cool tricks to survive. the one where the tide goes out for 30-45 minutes and they dig down through the ice drop in and collect the muscles. man how crazy would that be.

that kiviaq looked so disgusting. whole birds shoved inside a seal skin then stitched up and let to ferment for months, then just pulled out and eaten raw. no thank you but they seemed to love it.

very good show for sure and definitely some very unique survival techniques.

I've watched all of them so far. I think my favorite was the kid raising and hunting with the eagle. That, and the fella free diving and spear fishing in 60 ft. water. Great mini series, I'll be buying the DVD set for sure. Wish Discovery would get more programing like this.
